This is a beautiful vintage white hand embroidered floral hankie, hanky or handkerchief made hand in Madeira, Portugal in the 1940-1950s.

The handkerchief measures 12 inches square, has rolled and hand stitched hems and a hand embroidered floral motifs with a gray shadow in one corner with geometric sections of drawn work and added sections to the hem as well..

The handkerchief seems to be cotton and the edges are hand rolled hems.

The hankie is in excellent used vintage condition with no tears, stains or broken stitches.
